Music

Our music program allows our students who show an interest or a talent in music, singing, or instrumental music to hone their skills. Our students participate in concerts and play at many school events. We encourage our community to support our music students by attending any or all of our concerts throughout the year. We will post a notice on our News page as a concert date nears. You can learn more about the various opportunities in our music program below:

Glendale Chorus Boosters

The Glendale Choral Boosters Association was formed in the Spring of 2008. The Boosters began as a group of about 10 parents wanting to support the current choirs of the Glendale School District. Currently, the Boosters has an average meeting attendance of about 20 to 25 parents!

High School Chorus

The Glendale School District chorus program enriches the young minds of Glendale by teaching the true value of hard work through the importance of a musical education. While doing this, the music program urges the students to practice hard, work hard, and have fun.

Middle School Chorus

The Glendale Middle School Chorus is the preparatory ensemble of the Glendale School District. Comprised of about 92 non-auditioned singers from 7th to 9th grade, the choir performs a diverse repertoire in a variety of settings. The choir has many exciting performing opportunities coming up. We hope to see you there!

Jr./Sr. Band

The Glendale Band has 77 musicians and band front. The band performs at ten football games, two concerts, and numerous local parades.

The Music Association

The Music Association is an organization for students participating in the band, band front, and their parents. The organization’s goal is to encourage, enrich, and reward our youth for their hard work and dedication. In charge of operations, the association manages the band booth and chaperones at football games, performances, and trips. They provide refreshments for both our own and visiting bands, distribute uniforms, provide the picnic at the end of band camp, and organize a yearly banquet. They also provide funds for a bi-yearly trip, help with concerts, purchase jackets, and provide gifts for senior recognition. In the past they have bought warm-up suits, raincoats, and booth equipment; supported our competition squads; and generally helped out wherever needed. Raising funds and providing these services is a lot of work, but with everyone's help it will continue to expand upon its support.

Jazz Band

The Glendale Jazz Band is an all-extracurricular group of students that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. This group is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary all-American music that is jazz. The band performs in two concerts per year. Be sure to come out and support our band members!

Glendale Majorette Squad

The Glendale Indoor Majorette Squad is under the instruction of advisor Julie Noal, who is a licensed baton twirling coach and judge through Twirling Unlimited of Akron, Ohio. The majorettes encompass grades seven through twelve, and compete in the winter and spring months within two baton twirling circuits — Twirling Unlimited (T.U.) and Tournament Indoor Association (T.I.A.). T.U. encompasses both group and solo twirling competitions at the local, regional, and international level throughout the United States and Canada. TIA, a subdivision of Tournament of Bands, is one of the largest competitive band organizations in the country. Glendale is a member of Chapter XI Allegheny Mountain Region of TIA.
